Nigerian rapper, CDQ has revealed his colleague, Asake can do better following the snippet of his new single that he released last weekend.

On Sunday, March 12, Nigerian singer-songwriter, Ololade Mi Asake via his social media accounts released snippet for his yet-to-be released single. The snippet shows a return to his dominant Amapiano sound.

This teaser has however divided fans with some calling it monotonous and repetitive while others are fascinated by its appealing familiarity.

Sharing the video online, he wrote,

One of the major pundits who reacted to the teaser is Nigerian rapper, CDQ who revealed that he is not impressed. In his statement, he claimed the single sounded like Asake and DJ Spinall‘s 2022 single, ‘Palazo‘.

In 2022, Asake dominated the Nigerian music industry with his debut studio album, Mr Money With The Vibe. The singer who is signed to Olamide‘s Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) became one of the most talked about artiste at the time, releasing hits that quickly catapulted him into mainstream prominence.

Following his fascinating run in 2022, he worked with notable musicians such as Olamide Baddoo, Fireboy, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and several others.

He re-introduced himself in 2023 with the tranquil-inspired single, ‘Yoga’.
