Ololade Ahmed who is better known as Asake made his mainstream debut in February 2022 after he signed with Olamide’s record label, Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL).
Upon the release of the extended play (EP), Ololade EP in February, Asake quickly became an integral part of the Afrobeat movement this year.
While his arrival came without a prior notice, there is certainty that with the dexterity of Asake‘s performance throughout the year, he would be amassing awards in 2023.
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter designed his own path, carved his own niche and established a career that rapidly became influential. Within a year of his debut, Asake‘s debut studio album, Mr Money With The Vibe neutralized those of his contemporaries.
