Comedian Princess Reveals She Received Death Threats For Exposing Baba Ijesha (Video)

Nigerian actress, Princess whose real name is Damilola Adekoya has revealed in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo that she received death threats for exposing sex convict, Olanrewaju Omiyinka who is better known as Baba Ijesha.

In the newly released episode of With Chude on Thursday, July 14, the actress and comedienne whose foster daughter was molested by her colleague claimed she was threatened after making the shocking revelation in April 2021.

Baba Ijesha was arrested and arraigned before the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court last year after he was caught in an indecent position with a child on camera.

Princess, whose foster child was the victim in the case, noted that after she decided to take the case up, a bounty was laid on her life and she had death threats.

Baba Ijesha was sentenced on Thursday after facing six counts of child defilement that included indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault by penetration.

Justice Taiwo Oluwatoyin found the defendant guilty of two of the six counts against him and sentenced him to jail for 16 years, adding that the sentence will run concurrently for five years.

Speaking in the video published late Thursday, the comedienne noted that she had earlier regretted speaking out about the case.

When asked if she felt regret, Princess said, “Now, I don’t, but in the first two to three weeks, I did.”

She noted that she felt regret because “they put a bounty on my head. They wanted to kill me.”

Princess added, “Some people that I respected so much, I found out that they were the ones pushing him (Baba Ijesha).”

Following the sentence, the comedienne had taken to her Instagram page to write, “God is not man,” as she shared a video of herself praising God.
