On the third day, Haliti said her energy level was very low, still ran fevers and her symptoms were dry cough, migraine, fever, chills, some nausea.

She decided to go to the doctors where she tested negative for the flu and strep, and the
doctor said she probably had just an infection, prescribing her antibiotics and 800mg of ibuprofen.

She stated that;

I made sure to stay extremely hydrated and stocked up on vitamins and probiotics. That night, I still ran fever.

Haliti added that she was advised to continue self quarantine, and would receive her results in 5 to 6 days.

On day 10, her symptoms were mild cough, mucus, normal energy levels and the lab results came in as positive to Coronavirus.

Presently, Haliti says she is in self-isolation, explaining that;

I am continuing to self-isolate and take care of myself. Today I am feeling great and healthy! I will need to retest in order to be cleared. That’s if I can find a doctor whose willing to retest me. Haven’t had any luck so far.

Since she shared her story, Haliti said she has been flooded with messages of support.

However, in response to question on how she contracted Coronavirus, Haliti said;

I don’t know. But I did go out on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and my cough started on Sunday. I believe I was exposed to it at the bar/club one of those days. That’s my guess. Hence the importance of social distancing!

As the virus continues to infect several people globally, Social Distancing has been encouraged by governments and the banning of large gatherings and closing schools.
