Kenyan mother advises women as she marks 2 years since her daughter was battered to death by her boyfriend

“Today marks 2 years since my daughter Sharon Muuru left us.
She was mundered by her boyfriend in 2016…
Since then I started an organisation to deal with domestic violences in her memory.
All I can say women and especially young girls are being slaughtered like chicken by men.

In my Daughter’s case the man was living in her house, and when she told him that she wanted to end the relationship, the man started beating her daily.
Unfortunately she didn’t metion how serious it was to me BUT she was sending photos of her swollen face to her friends in Belgium and Kenya, who also decided to keep it to themselves for whatever reason.

SHARON WAS MUNDERED IN HER HOUSE…NOW AFTER THAT BAD EXPERIENCE,I WOULD ASK LADIES,TO BE VERY CAREFUL EVEN IF HE IS LIVING IN YOUR HOUSE,STILL WALK OUT QUIETLY AND CLAIM YOUR BELONGS FROM A SAFE PLACE.

Another thing please if you have moved out, don’t be tricked to go back or to meet him,for whatever reason.
Many women have been killed even after they left. Watch your back…disconnect yourself with malicious people, who enjoys backbiting.
Resist from talking about him to anyone.
BUT ABOVE ALL I DEEPLY PRAY THAT OUR ALMIGHTY GOD WILL BRING A LASTING SOLUTIONS TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND KILLINGS. HOPE MEN WILL SEE SENSE IN LETTING GO OF THEIR SPOUSES INSTEAD OF KILLING THEM. May the beautiful soul of my daughter Sharon Muuru rest in peace.
It’s my hope and prayer she made it to heaven.
