Nigerian actor, Desmond Elliot has been re-elected as lawmaker representing Surulere 1 constituency in Lagos house of assembly.
MDB gathered that the All Progressives Congress candidate polled 17,837 votes to defeat his closest rival, Adebayo Bode of Labour Party who polled 7,822 votes.
This would be Desmond Elliot’s third term in Lagos state house of assembly.

Reading to his win, the lawmaker wrote on Instagram,

Festus Keyamo Congratulates Desmond Elliot, Says ‘He Defeated The Children’
Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has congratulated Desmond Elliot for winning Surulere 1 constituency seat.
Labour Party supporters, popularly known as Obidients, had vowed to vote for Oworu to defeat Desmond Elliot.
The lawmaker had on his Instagram page posted a video of his visit to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, thanking him for his support towards the state assembly election.
He described Gbajabiamila as his father, mentor, leader, and speaker of the nation.
Reacting to the clip, Keyamo on Twitter wrote, “Congratulations, Desmond Elliot. You prevailed over ‘these children’ at last.”
