A video of Cameroonian football icon, Samuel Eto’o physically assaulting an Algerian journalist and youtuber identified as Said Mamouni has surfaced on social media.

Specifically, the incident on Wednesday occurred moments between the Round of 16 clash between Brazil and South Korea took place at the ongoing FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar. In the video, Eto’o used his right knee to hit the journalist in the face.

The video has since drawn criticism from different social media commentators.

Mamouni has since come out to explain what he said in the video that infuriated the current president of the Cameroon Football Federation.

Mamouni has now released a video revealing he has reported it to Qatari police.

“I’m at the police station to file a complaint against Eto’o. He hit me, and someone else with him pushed me and destroyed my camera.

“I asked him how is Bakary Gassama [referee that took charge of African World Cup playoff] and if he gave him a bribe. He then hit me and destroyed both my camera and mic.

“I will take my rights here in Qatar as it is a state of law, he did hit me in the chest and the face and in my elbow,Mamouni said on his YouTube channel.
