Twitter User Accuses Humanitarian Of Squandering Funds Raised For Bayelsa Flood Victims

A Twitter user identified as Akpos Malafakumo Best has alleged that the funds raised by benevolent netizens for victims of the heinous Bayelsa flooding victims has been squandered by popular humanitarian and pharmacist, Victor Israel.

Akpos made the allegations on her Twitter platform during the early hours of today, Saturday, October 22.

She accused the Pharmacist of being a fraud and failing to remit the money garnered to aid victims of the ongoing disaster in the Southern part of Nigeria.

She wrote on Twitter;

@VictorIsrael_ is a fraud!
He has been using the flood situation in Bayelsa to collect money from people here on Twitter.
@VictorIsrael_ is not from Bayelsa.

He has blocked everyone from Bayelsa who has asked him about the donations he said he remitted to Bayelsa.

She went further to write;

@VictorIsrael_ may all the sufferings and the pains my people experienced in this flood come on you in double fold.

You will suffer so much money will not be able to save you!

Her tweets read further;

Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi on Saturday visited Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State in Yenagoa, the state capital, to sympathise with victims of floods in the state.

The former governor of Anambra State, who earlier on Thursday visited flood-ravaged communities in Benue State to commiserate with victims, tasked the Federal Government to be proactive in mitigating the effects of devastating floods across the country.
