According to the party’s national chairman, Barrister Julius Abure, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed would be introduced by the Labour Party (LP) today (Friday) as Peter Obi’s running partner.
Up until recently, Baba-Ahmed, who is the owner of Baba-Ahmed University in Kano and Baze University in Abuja, was a leader in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The party’s national secretariat in Abuja was originally going to host the vice-presidential candidate’s introduction on Thursday.
The ceremony was postponed, according to Abure, since Obi’s flight was canceled after he left for Maiduguri and was supposed to arrive back in Abuja Thursday afternoon.
Abure announced that the unveiling of Baba-Ahmed is rescheduled for today at the party’s headquarters, Abuja.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of Labour Party has noted that some of his opponents are using various ways to use people against him.
He added that his opponents are paying people to do negative things and pretend as if they are campaigning for him.

Obi, who spoke on Arise Television, also said he doesn’t agree with some of the extreme views being expressed by some people who claimed were supporting him.
He said:
I don’t agree entirely with some of those people you hear claiming to be my supporters. They are people who have been paid by my opponents to infiltrate my supporters and do wrong and then they say ‘it’s Peter Obi’s supporters.
Today people are being paid. In fact, what they say and do to me is far more than what they do to any candidate. People are being paid to say all sorts of things about Peter Obi, labeling him as incompetent.
