Meanwhile, Tierney who is arguably Arsenal’s best player this season, has missed the last five matches in all competitions since his side’s 3-0 victory over Newcastle on January 18 due to calf injury.

The Scottish defender will sit out of the weekend clash and is expected to return back to training next week.

The Gunners (Arsenal) enjoyed an upturn in fortunes over the Christmas and New year period, but have now lost back-to-back games in the Premier League – Wolves and Aston Villa and have once just a match in their last five matches in all competitions.

Mikel Arteta’s side will be hoping to change their fortune as they face Marcelo Bielsa’s team on Sunday, who will arrive the game above Arsenal on the table despite playing a game fewer.

The reverse game ended in a barren draw, with Leeds United dominating the game and Nicolas Pepe being sent off.

Bernd Leno and David Luiz will both be available for selection after both served a suspension for their send off in their defeat against wolves. Injury to Partey may see Arteta handing Martin Odegard his first start in an Arsenal Jersey.
