Tekashi 6ix9ine Hospitalized Due To Diet Pill And Caffeine OverdoseAmerican rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine has reportedly been hospitalized after an overdose of diet pills and caffeine.

According to multiple reports, the rapper, 24, was admitted to a Florida hospital on Tuesday following his adverse reaction to the combination of substances.

Tekashi, whose given name is Daniel Hernandez, told the Shade Room that his overdose was a result of pairing a cup of coffee with two Hydroxycut pills instead of the recommended daily dosage of one.

He also stated that the combination of diet supplements and caffeine sped up his heart rate and he began to “sweat excessively” soon after his consumption.

Tekashi expressed that he was using Hydroxycut pills because of his serious weight gain during his time in prison, saying he was more than 200 pounds but has now lost about 30 pounds.

The rapper also told the outlet that he is not a drug user – as court order requires him to remain drug free – but took the pills in an effort to lose weight.

In 2019, Tekashi pleaded guilty to nine felony charges, including a variety of firearm offenses and admitting to his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods (a US violent street gang).

He also pled guilty to additional federal felonies including racketeering conspiracy, firearms charges, narcotics trafficking, and violent crimes in aid of racketeering, after being previously indicted for six felony charges in November 2018.

His charges initially carried a minimum sentence of 47 years in prison, with a maximum sentence of life in prison, according to The New York Times.

However, after cooperating with authorities by ratting our members of the street gang, Tekashi69 was in favor sentenced to two years in prison last December.

He subsequently got released from prison into home arrest in May after citing concerns about coronavirus and other health issues.

Tekashi69 is now in home confinement with a GPS tracker strapped on his ankle. He can only leave his residence for any necessary medical treatment or to visit his attorney.
