Just In: Ondo State Confirms Second Coronavirus Case

Ondo state has recorded its second confirmed case of Coronavirus on Friday evening. 

Commissioner for Health, Wahab Adegbenro, said the patient, a middle-aged man, lives at the Ijoka area of Akure, the state capital.

He said he had been transferred to the state Infectious Disease Hospital along Igbatoro Road, Akure, and all his family members are under quarantine.

Ondo state had recorded its first Coronavirus case on April 3rd.

Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo, confirmed the first case revealing that the index case is a military officer who returned from India and have been in isolation since he returned.

In other news, Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced that 7 patients – 3 females and 4 males have been discharged from the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) in the state.

According to him, there are now a total number of 46 patients that have recovered from Coronavirus and have been discharged in the state.
