Drama As Groom Fails To Show Up For His Wedding After Pretending To Be Sick

A groom who failed to pay for their wedding venue left his bride stranded after failing to show up for the ceremony, claiming to be sick.

Phathisani Hlabangana, who is an employee of Kalawa Jazmee production, reportedly failed to show up for his wedding but turned up for Kalawa Homecoming gig the following day.

It was gathered that the couple shared the expenses for the wedding; the bride, Jacky Moyo took care of catering, cakes, and other things while the groom, Hlabangana was left with just paying for the wedding venue.

“We suspect that Moyo is the one who forced Hlabangana to marry her because she volunteered to pay all the expenses except for the venue that was supposed to be paid by Hlabangana.

“MaMo was shocked when the wedding venue people phoned her asking about their money because Hlabangana had showed him a bag full of money saying everything was under control.

“On the wedding day he never turned up and was not answering his phone,” a source said.

However, when Moyo was contacted by B-Metro, she disclosed that she was in no position to talk about the incident and didn’t want it to be published.

“At the moment I am not in a good state of mind to talk about this whole drama,” says Moyo.

Moyo’s mum who showed reporters the five-tier wedding cake which was on the dining table says:

“I know people were not happy that my daughter was getting married, anyway it’s life, bad things happen unexpectedly,” said the visibly stressed woman.

On his own part, Hlabangana denied the allegations saying that the wedding was cancelled after he fell ill and not that he failed to pay for the venue.

“The rumours are not true. What happened is I fell sick on the wedding day and we were forced to cancel the wedding,” Hlabangana said.
