Portable and Bobrisky

In a clash so dramatic, it could be its own Nollywood movie, Nigerian singer Portable and social media darling Bobrisky are locked in a fashion face-off that’s left fans both bewildered and side-splitting.

The drama unfolded at the premiere of “Ajakaju,” where Bobrisky, known for their flamboyant style, turned heads in an outfit that, well, turned even more heads. Bobrisky, somehow, managed to snag the “Best Dressed Female” award, sparking outrage (and amusement) online.

Enter Portable, the internet’s resident commentator-in-chief. Taking to Instagram, Portable launched a one-man crusade against the award decision. Imagine a one-man crusade with a whole lot of yelling and maybe some questionable dance moves.

Portable, ever the diplomat, questioned the very fabric of reality (and possibly fabric choices) by demanding, “Shey na woman? No be artificial?” (“Isn’t she a woman? Isn’t it artificial?”) He then hilariously issued a not-so-subtle warning to Bobrisky, saying, “Don’t come to my area dressed like that or you might get whooped!”

Bobrisky, ever the master of social media shade-fu, has yet to respond. Perhaps they’re too busy dodging metaphorical flying tomatoes (or maybe perfecting their award-winning gluteus maximus routine).

One thing’s for sure: the internet is having a field day. Memes are multiplying faster than rabbits on a trampoline, and the fashion police are hiding under their desks, fearing for their very badges.

UPDATE: Portable Throws Shade Hotter Than Jollof Rice: Declares War on Bobrisky with Cassava-Themed Diss Track!

Move over, Jay-Z and Nas, there’s a new beef in town, and it’s spicier than your average plate of egusi soup! Nigerian singer Portable has gone full scorched earth on crossdresser Bobrisky, unleashing a diss track so savage it could peel yams from a mile away.

The internet is ablaze with the clip of Portable laying down rhymes in the studio, and let’s just say, his lyrical jabs are about as subtle as a masquerade dancer in a white room. Apparently, Bobrisky’s backside is the main target this time around, with Portable comparing its firmness to the ever-reliable Akpu (you know, pounded cassava dough, the ultimate Nigerian comfort food).

In a symphony of Yoruba slang that would make your auntie blush, Portable throws shade like a professional umbrella salesman caught in a downpour. “Bobrisky, you done messed up this time,” Portable seems to be saying between bites of metaphorical Akpu. “The streets ain’t safe for you no more, you hear? This brotherhood thing? You done graduated to disgracehood!”

Will Bobrisky respond with a fiery diss track of his own? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure: the Nigerian entertainment scene just got a whole lot messier, and frankly, a whole lot more hilarious.
