Kingsley Moghalu, a former African Democratic Party (ADC) presidential candidate, and his wife Maryanne had an unexpected moment of captivity on Monday when they became locked in a lift.
Maryanne posted about the tragedy along with images and videos of the people who helped during the rescue operation on her Twitter feed.

The former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) spouse, Maryanne, revealed that she and her husband had to face a 30-minute struggle inside the lift after it stopped in the middle of a floor.
During this unsettling experience, Maryanne took the opportunity to convey a spiritual message to her followers.
She encouraged them to devote time to reading and praying Psalm 91, a Bible verse that offers solace and reassurance in the face of uncertainties.
She wrote: “This morning, @MoghaluKingsley and I were stuck in an elevator for over 30 minutes! The elevator stopped in between floors. I thank God it ended well. This is why you don’t leave home without praying. Ps 91. Never know what is waiting around the corner. Glory to God!”
