Charly Boy Threatens To Take Protest ‘To Next Level’ Following Election Results

Foremost Nigerian musician and social activist, Charles Oputa, known by his stage name, Charly Boy, has revealed plan to join the ongoing protest that followed the outcome of the February 25 presidential elections.

MDB reports that supporters of the Labour Party and the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, have continued to stage protests in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, seeking the cancelation of the election that produced Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the president-elect.

The supporters, who are known as Obidients, had alleged that the results of the election was manipulated to favour the ruling party.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Charly Boy, a socio-political activist, lauded the protesters, saying he would soon join the protest to take it to another level.

He wrote,

I am indeed happy with the Obidient Youths and the courageous lovers of Naija. We all are familiar with how great things can be achieved when we work together or when we stand together.

“Soon I will be joining my courageous youths to take our peaceful rally to the next level”.

In another news, Charly Boy admonished Nigerian youths to become more profound when making decisions. He stated this while sharing a photo of renowned political thug, MC Oluomo alongside his children who are outside the country.

The social activist stated that most Nigerian politicians and socialites send their children overseas while they arm the youths in the country to engage in heinous acts during election.

He wrote on Twitter,

Agbero Children dey abroad dey flex
You dey Okokomaiko with your tiger gen, dey shout mandate,
Lagos is awa land.

My dear you have been chasing wisdom but ur Mumu na family inheritance.

Deal with ur poverty joor.
