Chelsea Confirms Graham Potter As New Head Coach

Brighton’s manager, Graham Potter has been confirmed as the new head coach of the English Premier League club, Chelsea.

This has been confirmed on the official Twitter platform of Chelsea football club on Thursday afternoon.

The announcement reads, “Chelsea Football Club is delighted to welcome Graham Potter as our new Head Coach!

Potter‘s employment is coming barely 24 hours after German coach, Thomas Tuchel was fired as the manager of the two times Champions League winners.

The English football club, Chelsea revealed in a statement on that website that Potter signed a 5-year deal with the club.

He will be taking over as the manager of the Chelsea team with immediate effect.

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to welcome Graham Potter as our new Head Coach, joining us on a five-year contract to bring his progressive football and innovative coaching to the Club,” the statement reads.

On making the move to Stamford Bridge, Potter said:

I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Chelsea FC, this fantastic football club.

I am very excited to partner with Chelsea’s new ownership group and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to develop a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of.”

He stated further, “I would also like to place my sincere thanks to Brighton & Hove Albion for allowing me this opportunity and in particular Tony Bloom and all the players; staff and supporters for their continued support during my time at the club.’
