Nigerian-Born Mixed Martial Artist, Israel Adesanya Honours Father By Wearing Shirt With Photo Of Him, Buys Mother A PorscheAhead of their highly-anticipated clash at UFC 259, middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya and light heavyweight king, Jan Blachowicz came face-to-face for the first time at a pre-fight press conference on Friday.

While 39-year-old Blachowicz entered the arena in a blue suit, the 31-year-old Nigerian arrived rocking a white ‘Dadesanya’ t-shirt with his father’s face on it and a black jacket.

Both the fighters looked confident and traded some comments in front of UFC supremo, Dana White.

However, when White separated the two fighters and asked them to pose for the media, Adesanya flaunted his white tee to pay homage to his father before posing with his title.

Adesanya, who makes his light heavyweight debut on Saturday night, considers Oluwafemi his mentor, and one time said though he and his father don’t live in the same city or town, he helps him break down opponents and keeps him updated throughout his fight camp.

Following the pre-fight press conference, Adesanya took to his Instagram story to share a photo of new Porshe he bought his mother, Taiwo.

He penned down some few words as caption, saying “If flowers are too much, then gift them a porsche”.

Adesanya, who boasts a 20-0 UFC record, will be hoping to beat Blachowicz and become the fifth only two-weight champion in UFC history.

He is undoubtedly one of the most technically gifted fighters in UFC roster today, a win for Adesanya would see him join the elite list of fighters who have held two belts in different weightclasses at the same time. 

Only four other fighters have achieved the feat ConorMcGregor,DanielCormier,AmandaNunes and HenryCejudo.
