Jamie Foxx Pays Moving Tribute To Late Sister On World Down Syndrome DayAmerican actor, Jamie Foxx paid tribute to his beloved sister, DeOndra Dixon on World Down Syndrome Day on Sunday, five months after her tragic death at 36.

The Oscar-winning actor, 53, expressed his love for DeOndra, who had Down Syndrome, in a heartbreaking Instagram post, accompanied by a beautiful photo of his sibling.

Sharing the photo which showed Dixon smiling for the camera while clad in a beautiful purple dress, Foxx wrote;

My heart, my breath … my soul… I hear your laughter in the house… I hear you sliding down the stairs… my heart… my breath… my soul…

Dixon was born to Louise Annette Dixon and George Dixon — Foxx’s mother and stepfather respectively — in Dallas, Texas, in 1984.

He later started participating in Special Olympics in sixth grade and had aspirations of becoming a professional dancer.

In 2011, she was named an ambassador for the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.
