Manchester United welcome West Ham United to the Theatre of Dreams on Tuesday night FA Cup clash with a place in the quarter finals at stake.

The side from Manchester have beaten Watford and Liverpool in the third and fourth round respectively to book a place in the fifth round, while West Ham have overcome Stockport County and Doncaster Rovers to advance to this stage.

United looked on the course of securing a win against Everton on Saturday when they led 2-0 into halftime. The Toffees (Everton) returned the two goals back in the second half, levelling it up at 2-2. A Scott McTominay header again gave United the lead, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s last-minute goal made both clubs share points.

The Manchester giants are the second-most successful team in the FA Cup behind North London side Arsenal, lifting the trophy on 12 occasions, but they have not triumphed since 2016 under Lois Van Gaal.

West Ham will enter Tuesday night’s match off the back of a goalless draw with Fulham in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Tomas Soucek was sent off in the dying seconds of the game following an altercation with Aleksandar Mitrovic, a decision which have been rescinded after West Ham went on to appeal the decision.

West Ham were far from convincing in their third-round FA Cup clash with Stockport County, they won 1-0, but they were ruthless in their fourth-round tie, thumping Doncaster Rovers 4-0 at the London Stadium.

The Hammers have won this competition on three occasions, the last which was in 1980, though they reached the final in 2005-2006, losing to Liverpool on penalties.

Team News

Manchester United will be without their star midfielder Paul Pogba, who was forced off in their clash against Everton on Saturday.

Eric Baily is also a doubt for the match due to the knock he suffered before the Everton game.

For the Hammers, Arthur Masuaku and Darren Randolph remain absent through injury. Tomas Soucek will be available after his red card appeal was successful. Jesse Lingard will not be able to feature against his Parent club.
