Veteran comedian, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome better known as Alibaba, has said anyone who says there is no COVID-19 in Nigeria is an idiot.
On Monday, January 4, Alibaba via his social media handle, announced that he just survived COVID-19.
He urged Nigerians to be cautious, saying COVID-19 pandemic is real and advised Nigerians to desist from describing COVID-19 pandemic as a scam.
The comedian thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State; Akin Abayomi, the Commissioner for Health, and other caregivers who worked tirelessly to keep him alive at Yaba Isolation Centre, where he was quarantined.
Alibaba has now shared more of his experience while in the isolation centre during an interview on AriseTV this afternoon, Tuesday.
He stated that he was on eight oxygen cylinders while he was in isolation, stressing;
You see people fighting for oxygen just because it is a respiratory problem and they can’t even get it at all. I was on eight cylinders of oxygen. I was turning it around. I am not talking about someone said something, I am talking about a personal experience.
Alibbaba blasted Nigerians who go about making claims that the virus is not in Nigeria, adding;
So when you see those idiots and I am not mincing words with them, anyone that tells you there is no COVID is an idiot. and for the people that have lost anyone that is dear to them, if anyone is now telling you that there is nothing like COVID, I wish it upon their family.
