Edo Decides: They Are Rigging Me Out – Gov Obaseki Cries OutGovernor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, has alleged that there is an ongoing deliberate election manipulation in areas where he has strongholds.

Obaseki is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the incumbent Governor of Edo State.

According to DailyPost, Obaseki through Crusoe Osagie, his Special Adviser stated;

Suddenly, card readers are not working in areas where Governor Godwin Obaseki is very popular. Voters are being disenfranchised and we are constrained to say that this is sabotage.

He added;

Specifically, in Oredo Ward 1, Unit 20 and other places where the Governor is clearly popular, the card readers are not working.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should prove to Edo voters that it can conduct a credible election in Edo State.

Meanwhile, electorates in Ward 1, Unit 9 at Ugbogbo quarter, in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, LGA have lamented about being unable to cast their votes.

The voters bitterly complained that card readers in this unit have not functioned since election commenced.

Some of the voters who spoke with DailyPost said they have pushed their complaints to the appropriate quarters.

As at the time of filing this report, voters were still waiting patiently to cast their votes.

More details to come.
