Though the police noted that there is no premeditation in the death of Arotile, when the case came up on Thursday August 20, the prosecution Counsel DSP Martins D. Leo prayed the Court to discharge the second and third suspects, as their investigation did not find them wanting.

The presiding Justice Benjamin Hassan, then discharged the two suspects, based on police investigation and in addition to the legal advice from the state’s Director of Public Prosecution, Bayero Dari that they have no case to answer.

Both were only passengers and friends of the first suspect, Adejor who was driving the vehicle.

Nehemiah Adejor is however going to be arraigned at the State High Court for culpable homicide not punishable with death on September 3, 2020.
