109 Stranded Nigerians In Mali Arrive Lagos

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has on Tuesday received 109 stranded Nigerians repatriated from Mali at the International Wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja in Lagos state.

Director-General of NEMA, AVM Muhammed Muhammadu (rtd), receiving the returnees, said that they would be isolated for 14 days in Ikeja before they would reunite with their families.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the returnees, who arrived at 3.15am, comprised of 11 adult male, 89 adult female, with 4 male children and 5 female children.

Muhammadu disclosed that the returnees were assisted back into Nigeria by the International Organization of Migration (IOM).

He advised the returnees to be vigilant with those that promise greener pastures outside the country and make better use of their lives.

According to him, the Federal Government has several social development programmes and other incentives meant for empowering the youth in the country.
