Breaking: NCDC Confirms 350 New COVID-19 Cases, 102 In Lagos

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has reported 350 new cases of coronavirus, 8 additional deaths and 206 recoveries late Thursday.

According to the centre’s latest data posted on Twitter, the new toll were confirmed over the last 24 hours.

NCDC’s tweet reads;

A breakdown of the cases by state is as follows;

On Wednesday, the country’s total coronavirus toll surpassed the 11,000 mark having 11,166 with 3329 discharged patients and 315 causalities.

With the new toll, there are now 11516 total cases, 3535 recoveries and 323 death cases across the country.

Also, according to NCDC’s situation report, total samples tested nationwide have increased from 69,801 to 71,336 as at June 3rd.

In other news, Lagos state has discharged 24 coronavirus patients from its isolation facilities after full recovery.

Lagos State Ministry of Health (LSMOH) announced this on its official Twitter page on Thursday, stating that the discharged patients include 9 females and 15 males.

The ministry added that 4 were discharged from Onikan, 1 from Gbagada, 1 from Agidingbi and 18 from LUTH Isolation Centres.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos is now 952.
