In recent times, the internet has been rife with different stories of pant stealing ‘merchants’ who desperately hunt for women’s under pants to sell to people who use them for nefarious money making rituals.
So desperate these people have gotten that several quarters have in the last couple of months reported incidences where women were asked to take off their underwear at gunpoint. Even more disturbing is the fact that women who do not wear underwear are given ‘pants’ they are forced to do wear for some minutes. The ‘pant’ is then collected- still at gunpoint by these malevolent persons. These are just some of the different instances of pant theft that has been reported in recent times.

The most recent ‘pant stealing’ incident is said to have occurred at an Amala joint in Idimu, Lagos yesterday.
According the Lady who shared the story on micro blogging social networking site Twitter, the robbers asked the ladies who wore under pants to take them off and those who didn’t wear were asked to put on the pants the suspected ritualists came with. All pants were collected and taken away of course.

She wrote;

Robbers came to Amala joint in my sisters area this night ” mainland ” brought out guns and collected their pants They poured new pants on the table and told people that are not wearing to pick pants and wear Exactly the same way they did in ijebu !!!

I’m not joking ! I just don’t want to mention the name of the buka ,it happened in Idimu this night !

The incident is similar to one which allegedly happened in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State earlier this month, where ‘pant stealing’ robbers stormed a restaurant to rob women of their pant in similar style.

God help women in this country.
