Drake has described Nigerian-British singer Sade Adu as one of the most important women in his life, and many fans are happy to hear this.

The rapper who is currently on his Boy Meets World tour in the UK, met the Nigerian-British singer who rarely makes social media appearances. The Toronto rapper also met Sade’s transgender son, Ila Adu, who has been updating fans on his journey to becoming a man.

Only yesterday, Drake broke Apple Music and Spotify streaming records with his new album, More Life, which dropped last weekend. The songs garnered a whopping 89.9 million streams globally within the first 24 hours of the album release on Apple Music. And on Spotify, it swept in 61.3 million global streams, beating Ed Sheeran’s album Divide which got 57 million. Billboard adds that Drake is heading for number 1 on the Billboard 200 Album chart set to be released next week.

With these stirring success reports coming in days after his album was released, Drake felt the need to acknowledge people who have influenced him, and fans are so excited about this.

“Two very important ladies in my life,” said the rapper in a picture he shared with Sade Adu and his mother Sandi Graham.

And in his own post, Ila Adu added, “What a night!”
