Nigerians Incensed As School Principal Extremely Brutalizes Student For Missing School

It’s really sad that stories like this are still making the rounds in Nigeria.

A Facebook user  Utibe Michael Akpan on Monday shared photos of her brother who was brutalised by his school principal for being absent in school.

“Imagine what the principal of Christian Secondary Commercial School at Obio Imo did to my brother’s back because he couldn’t make it to school. The man didn’t even bother to find out if d boy was sick or didn’t have transport,” Utibe wrote.

She also shared an SMS sent by the principal, identified as E.O. Esedeke to her dad. See below:

Dear Mfon (victim), this is notify you that you are to attend lessons everyday in the school. You didn’t attend on Friday and Saturday. You have (been) penalised. You will receive the penalty on monday. Thanks
From E.O.Esedeke
Your principal.

And as expected on cases like this, the reaction on social media is priceless, with many obviously very angry at the principal for taking such extreme measures to correct the student.

A social media user, Xristy said; “WTF!!!!!sue the bastard biko….to study na by force ni?????”

Another user, a Mr Ogunsakin even strongly suggested that he would have beaten up the principal if it were his son. “If this happens to be my child. I would have beaten the Principal black and blue. You better believe that.”

Other comments went thus:

The idiotic principal should be arrested at once….is He your child?? WTF”

“How could he have done that to this guy at this time in naija.Abi him and d guy d drag same babe ni?”

Are we sad that stories like these keep coming up or are we sad that things like these keep happening? Because if it’s the former, then we don’t mind them happening as long as we don’t see them.

Back to the matter. This is abuse. But it’s also Nigeria. Parents sef will beat their kids like this and call it discipline. Can we please do a way with corporal punishment in schools? And the foolish principal didn’t bother investigating why the student didn’t show up. This is just sad”
