Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun who is better known as Ay Comedian has taken to his social media handle to react to the elections held in Lagos last Saturday, March 18.

The comedian wrote about the prejudice against the Igbos and disenfranchisement that emerged during the election.

It would be recalled that footages of political thugs attacking and disenfranchising some voters, especially those who are from the Southeastern part of the country emerged on social media.

Reacting to the incident that happened during the gubernatorial election, Ay Makun tackled ‘bigots’ and ‘maggots’.

The comedian who is married to Mabel Makun, an Igbo also questioned Yoruba people who are against getting married to someone from a different tribe.

He went on to write,

‘’Now that d elections are officially ‘over’ in Lagos State, I am sure all these talks about BIGOTS & MAGGOTS will end on d lips of some COCONUT heads like d FOOLISH FEDERAL KOLA-NUT (FFK) seekers, Una for tell us wetin una want we Yoruba boys to do with our Igbo wives & children’

Earlier, Nigerian singer-songwriter, Simi criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following the 2023 general elections.

The singer was reacting to the violence and irregularities that marred the February 25 and March 18, 2023, elections.

And all these for politicians that don’t give af about you or your family. ‘Them just dey use you’. When this election has passed, it’ll be you, the poverty you’re dying to maintain and your newfound lack of shame. They still won’t care about YOU. Tribalism is disgraceful,” she tweeted.
