LASTMA Officers Seek Forgiveness From Lagos Residents Ahead Of Election (VIDEO)

Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) personnel were seen demanding for forgiveness from residents of Lagos for maltreating them over the years.

The personnel were seen demanding for restitution in a video that surfaced on social media.

The apology is coming days prior to the rescheduled gubernatorial election where Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), will compete for the governorship of Lagos against Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, Funso Doherty of the Africa Democratic Congress, Abdulazeez Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party, and 11 others.

A video making rounds on social media shows LASTMA officials dancing to the tune of the song ‘ewe orijin laja, eni aba se ko firijin wa’ which translates to ‘whoever we may have offended, please forgive us.’

Earlier, some civil servants in Lagos claimed that they were threatened with job loss if they fail to support the incumbent governor’s re-election.

However, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s media aide, Gboyega Akosile, debunked this on social media.

Lagos State Traffic Management Authority is a Lagos State-owned agency under the Ministry of Transportation. The agency was established on the 15th of July, 2000 to transform the state transportation system to ensure free flow of traffic in the state and also reduce road accidents.
