The veteran Nigerian actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo clocked 61 on Wednesday, March 1, however, he has refused to celebrate his anniversary due to the result of the recently concluded presidential election.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu was confirmed winner of the 2023 president by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday morning.

The actor, who turned 61 today, made it known that he is not happy about the results and that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, “sold shame in the market.

He wrote, I am not celebrating my birthday today because INEC sold shame in the market. God bless you, my fans and well-wishers, for your support and prayers.

In other news, Nigerian social activist and musician, Charly Boy whose real name is Charles Oputa has reacted to the announcement of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the new president of Nigeria.

Oputa made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday at the Unity Fountain in Abuja.

The entertainer, who spoke in reaction to the gathering of some youths at the Unity Fountain, said it was to protest the alleged bogus election result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Young people are gathering to protest the situation and bogus elections that have just been concluded.

“As Area Father, I am just here to make sure that it is peaceful and that they are doing the right thing.

“I believe in what they are doing and I am here to show support.

“The election result is the most bogus, most annoying and a financial disaster looking at the money wasted on the exercise by the Federal Government,” he said.
