Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo has expressed disappointment in her fellow kinsmen who supported the attack and assault on Igbos during the 2023 gubernatorial election in Lagos on Saturday, March 18.

During the gubernatorial election last Saturday, there were reports of assault and disenfranchisement of Igbo residents in Lagos state, the Southwestern part of Nigeria. According to reports gathered, several Igbos who refused to vote the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) were attacked by political thugs.

The incident emerged following threats issued by the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee Musiliu Akinsanya, who is better known as MC Oluomo.

Days prior to the gubernatorial election,  Oluomo was seen admonishing Igbos during an APC meeting in Lagos state, he stated that those who would not be voting the ruling party should ‘sit at home’.
