‘APC, Buhari’s Failure Not Enough To Humiliate Him’- Peter Okoye

Nigerian recording artiste, Peter Okoye of the popular twin duo, P-Square has stated that it’s condemnable to humiliate the office of the president.

The singer also said although President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress, APC, didn’t perform well, it does not justify humiliating him.

The statement was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday.

Recall that Buhari was recently reported to have been attacked by some residents in Kano State when he went on an official state visit.

However, Okoye has condemned the act, saying it was not justifiable.

He wrote, “We all agree that President Buhari and the APC have performed badly but we do not subscribe to humiliating the president or office of the president. This is totally condemnable!

He went further to write,

So some people will leave their houses this morning to queue for fuel at N400 per litre, buy gas at N800 per kg, buy rice at 38k per bag and still come online in the evening to defend APC. I wonder what motivates dem.”

In other words, foremost Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun has explained why more youths in the country will choose to ‘japa’.

The comedian wrote on social media, “Nigeria will continue to produce a JAPA generation, not because our land is without milk and honey, but because of evil leaders who usually get into power to gather as much as they can gather for themselves, and then look on and do nothing.”
