Close Ranks, Bury Differences For Successful 2023 General Elections — Akpabio Urges APC

Former Minister, Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has urged  All Progressives Congress leaders and stakeholders in Akwa Ibom State to bury their differences and close ranks for the success of the party in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

The former governor of Akwa Ibom State who said this while speaking at the party stakeholders meeting in Uyo, on Friday, said;

There is actually no problem in the state chapter of the party, stressing that what you are seeing today is a storm in the teacup.

Today’s meeting”, the former governor of Akwa Ibom State said,” is enough to settle all grievances and bury our differences. There is no issue at all and there is nothing we cannot settle.

The former Senate Minority Leader who traced the problem in the party to a lack of respect to whom respect is due called to borrow a leaf from what happened in Calabar, where the Presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu intervened and settled issues surrounding the. governorship candidacy of the party in the state.

He stated that such can be replicated in the Akwa Ibom State by ourselves.

Speaking further, the National Vice Chairman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, stated, “I will contribute my quota to the success of this presidential rally coming up next year.

Akpabio congratulated the Minister of the Niger Delta Affairs for the strides he has recorded so far in office, especially in the publication of the projects embarked upon by the ministry.

He stressed;

I was quite impressed when the minister published the projects embarked upon by the Ministry. It didn’t matter whether they were projects embarked upon by Pastor Usani or myself. I must commend him for that and will extend to him all the support he will need to succeed.

Speaking on behalf of the women, former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Iquo Inyang said nobody can deny the massive achievement of Senator Akpabio in changing the face of the state and commended his leadership.

She appealed to the leaders of the party to put the House in order for the victory of the party in the forthcoming elections.

Those in attendance at the meeting include Chief Sunny Jackson, Chief Sam Ewang, Mr Akan Udofia, and Senator Effiong Nelson among numerous others.
