Igbo Politicians Should Be Blamed For Presidency's Insult On Southeast- IPOB Reveals

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have cautioned anyone claiming to be working for Biafra’s actualization and hoping for the peaceful return of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, to abstain from all kidnappings for ransom and other criminal activities in the South-East geopolitical zone.

The group issued a warning that participating in such a despicable trend in the country would be sacrilege, despite the fact that kidnapping for ransom and other horrific acts were not part of the custom followed by the zone’s forebears.

Emma Powerful, the organization’s director of media and publicity, said as much in a statement on Sunday, August 28.

It claimed to have started the Monday sit-at-home order in the area but had now discontinued it since continuing it would go against the will of the people and should be strongly denounced.

The statement read in part;

We, the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by the great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wish to condemn numerous Kidnappings and killings going on at the Nnewi LGA and other parts of Biafraland by criminals as Igbo tradition goes against Ndigbo waste innocent Igbo lives.

It is a sacrilege to be part of such a heinous crime against our own people. If our ancestors acted in such a way to themselves we wouldn’t have been able to see today.

We are cautioning those claiming to kidnap because of non-compliance to the non-existent Monday sit-at-home order to stop. If you are fighting for Biafra freedom and wish that Nnamdi Kanu should be released from the DSS dungeon, you must stop all forms of criminalities in Biafra land. However, if you enjoy spilling the blood of a fellow innocent Biafran, bear in mind that you will be rewarded with the same coin.
