Oni Accuses INEC Of Delaying Release Of Results To Server To Favour APC

The Segun Oni Campaign Organization (SOCO) has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of purposefully delaying the upload of results from the June 18 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State to its server.

SOCO said that the delay was necessary to polish the fabricated results awarded to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Mr. Biodun Oyebamiji.

Saturday, July 2 in Ado-Ekiti, the Director of Media and Publicity for the campaign organization, Mr. Jackson Adebayo, made this message available to media.

Adebayo stated that INEC’s summary of local government results on Form EC8C and summary of Ekiti State election results on Form EC8D have not yet been uploaded to the server; making it difficult for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate, Asiwaju Segun Oni, to challenge the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mr Biodun Oyebamiji, at the election petition tribunal.

So far, INEC has submitted summary of unit results on Form EC8A and Ward results on Form EC8B, according to the SOCO’s spokesman; who questioned why INEC would be scared to publish the results if not to polish the rigged numbers it used for the APC before uploading the results to its server.

Adebayo said that this should be probed since INEC has no justification for delaying the posting of election results for two weeks after the election.
