Renowned musician, Davido has continued to advocate for his uncle, Sen. Ademola Adeleke despite his recent success in Osun state.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday morning, the popular Nigerian musician called out Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) asking them why his uncle, Sen. Ademola Adeleke was yet to be issued a Certificate of Return.

Davido‘s tweet is coming after his uncle emerged victorious in the Osun gubernatorial election on Sunday, July 17.

He mentioned in his tweet that it has been 48 hours since the announcement, yet, his uncle is yet to get his Certificate of Return.

Specifically, the Certificate of Return is issued to the governor-elect or the newly elected leader of a state.
The singer took to his Twitter account on Tuesday morning to question the reason behind the delay.

In his post, the singer also asked if INEC needs money for fuel to facilitate the issuing of the Certificate of Return.

His tweet reads;

”48hrs after our @AAdeleke_01 victory at the Osun Gubernatorial elections, we are yet to receive our certificate. @inecnigeria  should we send you fuel money? LOL Please no one should tamper with the will of the Osun People! Issue the certificate as required by Law! ”
