Two months after he dumped the All Progressives Congress amid protest over the N100 million price for its presidential ticket, businessman and politician, Adamu Garba has returned back to the party.

Adamu, on his Twitter page on Tuesday, July 12, announced his return to the ruling party.

He cited the emergence of former Lagos governor, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and former Borno Governor, Kashim Shettima as the presidential ticket of the party in the 2023 election as the reason.

He tweeted;

Garba, who backed out of the race for the APC presidential ticket despite raising N83 million, had described the high price set for the presidential form of APC as a plot to exclude the youth and other qualified people from the race.

He added;

My resignation was due to the fact that APC as a party has lost its moral bearing and has taken to some exclusionary practices which are against standard democratic tenets.

More importantly, as a young man, who believes in the future of Nigeria and had high hopes in APC before now, I cannot continue to retain membership of a party that favors money beyond competency, vested interest beyond common interest, chronic elitism beyond public good, politics of exclusion beyond inclusion.

Adamu had subsequently joined the YPP where he contested for the presidential ticket, but lost to Malik Ado-Ibrahim.

However, Garba on his twitter page on Tuesday announced his return to the ruling party, citing the emergence of former Lagos governor, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu former Borno Governor, Kashim Shetimma as the presidential candidate and running of the party in the 2023 election as reason.

Garba said it would amount to doing harm to Nigeria if he did not support Tinubu and Shettima bid for the presidency.

He described the combination of Tinubu and Shettima as ‘a great strategist and a great tactician on a single ticket.’

The former presidential aspirant noted;

Yes, I am fully back to APC. I could do more harm to my country, Nigeria if I did not support a combination of a great strategist and a great tactician on a single ticket.

It is BAT/Kashim that should take over all polling units in Nigeria come 2023. RE-DECAMPED!
