Tinubu boasted about putting Muhammadu Buhari President and Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State, in his speech, insisting that it is his turn to be President.

In response to the scandal and suspicion that the former Lagos state governor would be marginalized in the ruling party’s upcoming primaries, Adamu said that Tinubu’s lieutenants, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Ministers, Southwest Governors, and others, had deserted him.

He tweeted;

Quite alright Tinubu is betrayed, not by Buhari but by his lieutenants like Osibanjo, Ministers, Governors from the Southwest, etc. Look at his surroundings, you’ll find Kashim, Abu Ibrahim, Ganduje, Kashim-Imam, Aminu Suleman etc. Where are his beneficiaries? I hate betrayal!

Bola Tinubu, a presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), had on Thursday, June 2 revealed that President Buhari would not have won the 2015 election without his support.

Tinubu made this disclosure while addressing party delegates at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

He said;

If not for me that stood behind Buhari, he wouldn’t have become the President. He tried the first time, he failed. The second time, he failed. The third, he failed.

He even wept on national television and vowed never to contest again but I went to meet him in Kaduna and told him he will run again, I will stand by you and you will win, but you must not joke with Yorubas and he agreed.

Buhari has not benefited him in any way since he became President, according to the former governor of Lagos State.
