Alleged Kidnap: Ameerah Sufyan Apologises For Misleading Nigerians, Blames Delusion And Negative ThinkingAmeerah Sufyan, an Abuja-based lady who recently went viral after claiming she was kidnapped, has recanted her statement.

Shortly after the first tweet, Ameerah gave details of her captors, adding that they were being transported to the western part of the country.

She tweeted;

They’re four yoruba and two Fulani men. They divided us up an hour ago. We’re seven here. The other vehicle they said they will reach Ilorin and ours will reach Ibadan or Ikeja as they said.

Reacting to the news, many Nigerians called on security operatives to track rescue her and other alleged victims through the trails she shared.

In its response, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command swiftly mobilized their men in search of her.

Few days after, the command announced that Miss Sufyan had been found and was in the hospital receiving medical attention.

The command however debunked the kidnap of the other alleged victims, adding that investigation into the case was ongoing.

While the FCT command was yet to release the outcome of their investigation, Miss Ameerah took to her Twitter handle today to apologise to Nigerians for what she described as a false alarm.

She revealed that she was being delusional when she intentionally left her home, went into the bush and starved herself for four days before she was rescued.

Writing on her Twitter handle @Ameerah_sufyan on Monday, Ameerah said;

Good day all, I would like to formally apologize to the general public, to the whole police department and my friends and family for misleading them with the below tweet, nothing of such happened and it was all just my delusions and negative thinking.

I intentionally took myself out of our house, went to these locations, entered bushes and dehydrated and starved myself for four days just like that, there was no kidnapping, nothing at all, I truly apologize and please pray for me, I need it.

She added;
I would also like to thank the IG and the CP Babaji Sunday for helping me through this, may God reward them abundantly.
