In April, Peter Nwachukwu made headlines after his wife, Osinachi Nwachukwu died on the 8th of that month under mysterious circumstances.
Mr. Nwachukwu, who is also the gospel singer’s manager, is accused of violence, which resulted in her death.

Peter Nwachukwu was then arrested on April 11 on a case of suspected homicide and was recently charged with 23 counts by the Attorney-General of the Federation.
However, few days ago, Mr Nwachukwu was allegedly sentenced to death by hanging, according to a Facebook post in the Tell It Moms secret Facebook group.

Caleb Nii Boi was attributed with this post by King-Aki zipping-Attah, a member of the group.
A keyword search turned up news stories from the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR), and the Cable on Mr. Nwachukwu’s likely death sentence.
The charge against him was brought under sections 104 and 379 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, as well as culpable homicide, which is punished by death under section 221 of the Penal Code.
On May 20, 2022, the Head, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Department of Public Prosecutions of the Federation, Ministry of Justice, Yewande Gbola-Awopetun, filed a charge with the number CR/199/2022 at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Mr Nwachukwu faces a 23-count allegation of culpable homicide, although no punishment has been handed down.
He was simply charged with culpable homicide in court, not sentenced to death as some Facebook users stated.
Following the 23-count charge against him for the murder of Osinachi, reports of a possible death sentence are merely speculations.
