I can still see my tea mug rolling in pool of blood from the guy next to me that had his shoulder disfigured by a stray bullet, the bullets I kept waiting and thinking would hit me from any side at any moment, praying was my breath, was my heart beat.

She added;

I am still sore due to how we sandwiched for almost hours without air, our bodies against metals but we didn’t care then, all we cared about was safety, we were in darkness, under attack, bullet spree, non stop gun shots, people screaming saying they were shot at, seeking help, bleeding out with no immediate professional help.

I still feel numb, I can still smell the stench from the pool of blood on the train floors, I can still see those people lying dead on the floor and some on their seats sitting lifeless, the happy faces I saw few minutes before the attack, how none of us had a clue of what the destiny held.

I had already given up, I saw no light or escape, I was just praying to meet my lord in good faith and
light, hope for rescue was the last thing on my mind, even after they retreated, I just kept thinking it was a bluff. Captured so many moments but I don’t feel like sharing any of it, it is mine to keep I guess, to go back and watch, to reminisce, to process, to be grateful, to pray to remember how lucky I was, to remember the victims that died, to remember those that were
taken away.

She concluded;

And then after 3hours under attack and suspense
with all the tension and pressure at around 11:27-11:30 help arrived….we didn’t believe it was real help until we saw the commander with a red cap leading the group of soldiers, they started taking out the wounded, we were a bit free to seat up and talk, reply messages and answer calls
from our family members and well wishers, the in train police men and soldiers really deserve
an award for their heroism, they gave their lives up and kept fighting until they ran out of ammunition… the story continues.
