Kaduna-Abuja Train Attack Victim, Dr. Chinelo Megafu Laid To Rest One of the victims of Abuja-Kaduna train attack, Dr. Chinelo Nwando Megafu has on Thursday, April 21 been laid to rest at Ebony Private Cemetery, Ikoyi, Lagos state.

Recall that on March 28, suspected bandits attacked Abuja–Kaduna train with explosives. This led to the death of at least 8 passengers and destruction of the train and track.

Chinelo before her death had taken to her Twitter handle to ask people to pray for her after she sustained a gunshot injury during the attack.

She stated;

I’m in the train . I have been shot please pray for me.

Giving an update later, a Twitter user who appears to be a friend via his Twitter handle disclosed that she passed on.

He stated;

Just woke up to a sad news My friend just woke up to losing a close friend who was shot at the Abuja Kaduna train incident by terrorists She tweeted yesterday that we should pray for her. Sadly she didn’t make it. She was a Doctor Nigeria why..I’m heartbroken.

Another Twitter user revealed that;

Dr Chinelo was making an honest living, she was working at St Gerald’s hospital in Kaduna, she wanted more for herself and processed her papers to leave this hell-hole. She resigned last month to leave the country this Friday then this happened. Nigeria why???

Dr. Chinelo has now been laid to rest in Ikoyi cemetery, Lagos.

Family and friends gathered at the Shepherdhill Baptist Church to pay their last respect to the 29-year-old medical doctor.
