Few days ago, Governor Hope Uzodinma ldisclosed that Buhari would be visiting Imo to commission some “significant projects” his government has executed.

Speaking to newsmen after he visited the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Uzodinma expressed;

While in Abuja, I secured approval for President Muhammadu Buhari to visit Imo on Thursday, Sept. 9, to commission some significant projects put together by the Shared Prosperity Administration.

He also noted that Imo has gotten additional support from the President on the management of some ecological problems in the state.

The president, dressed in Igbo traditional attire, was received by Governor Hope Uzodimma and some members of his executive council.

After inspecting a guard of honour mounted by a detachment of the Nigerian Army, the president was driven to Owerri City Centre where he’s expected to commission some projects.

He arrived in the state despite threats by Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) to disrupt President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit amid their sit-at-house order.

Reports say the first port of call would be the Naze – Nekede – Ihiagwa road where he’s expected to commission the first phase of the road.
