Instagram Crashes As Users Around The World ComplainInstagram appears to have crashed on Thursday, September 2 as users around the world complain about the down time, it has emerged.

According to DownDetector, an independent outage monitor website, more than 4,000 Instagram users have reported problems with the app as at midday on Thursday.

Downdetector collates reports of outages from multiple sources, including Twitter and reports submitted on its websites and mobile apps.

Its website shows that Instagram outage reports started to rise substantially just after 8am, reaching a peak after noon.

Amid the down time, Instagram users flocked to Twitter to share their frustration – and to check if other users were experiencing the same problems.
