Nigerian entrepreneurial couple, Glory ‘Osei’ Igberaese and Muyiwa Folorunsho, have been declared wanted by International Police (Interpol) over their alleged involvement in multi-million dollar investment fraud.

Glory and Muyiwa, who were said to be silently married, are the CEOs of Divergent Enterprise, the mother company to Landlagos, Shapeyou, 234logistics, Casual Becky, Porkoyum, Porkmoney, True Rebel and Hyberfactory.

In October 2019,  Glory and her husband were the butt of Twitter jokes and memes after former employers accused them of operating scam business ventures. Other allegations include high-handedness, maintaining a toxic work environment and deduction of salaries or firing staff over trivial mistakes.

Glory, who says she is a “negotiation and international procurement expert” was also accused of posing as a single woman on social media while being married since 2016.

Some of her former employers said the couple operate an open marriage and staff are reprimanded if Glory and Muyiwa are referred to as a couple.

An open marriage means the couple involved are allowed to go on dates with other people, hide their marital status from people and pose as single individuals if need be.

Glory was known for often declaring her strong dislike for men and “Nigerian married women”. Therefore, it  came as a shock when it was revealed that she is married to Muyiwa.

Apart from posing as a single lady on the internet, she also dished advice to ladies, encouraging them to be strong-willed, enjoy their “singlehood”, increase their earning power and enjoy life without settling for a controlling man, just like she wouldn’t.

Responding to the allegations, Glory in a statement said her “social media posturing” was deliberate because she wanted to keep parts of her life private.

Then, succumbing to the unending social media backlash, Glory in February 2020 deactivated her Twitter account.

However, in less than 24 hours, Glory made a comeback to social media with a 182-Twitter thread, apologising for her past misdeeds, while appealing to Twitter users to stop the cyber attack.

Glory admitted that she had made mistakes and tried to survive in an “harsh environment” made harder by people she had sought to help.

However, she pleaded with Twitter users to stop the attacks but maintained that she doesn’t owe any salary as some of her former employers alleged.

In latest development after almost 2 years of the couple’s absence from Nigeria’s social media space, Glory and Muyiwa have now been linked to a slew of Ponzi schemes.

According to PeoplesGazette, the suspects, whose social media prominence earned them the pseudonym ‘Bonnie and Clyde’, in one case allegedly defrauded investors of over N1 billion.

The victims in a January 21, 2021 petition to federal authorities said;

These funds were however diverted to personal use, including for the purchase of luxury properties and foreign citizenship.

Also, warrants of arrest separately issued for them by Lagos Division of the Federal High Court said they are wanted for obtaining money under false pretence and stealing.

A notice issued by Intepol section of Nigeria Police Force in Lagos state with the description of the physical qualities of the couple partly reads;
