Alex Rodriguez is looking toward the future following his spilt from singer and actress, Jennifer Lopez — but still appears to be holding onto a few things from that past relationship, literally.
On Thursday, the retired New York Yankees player, 46, shared a photo on Instagram posing in front of his fleet of cars — including what appears to be the 2019 red 911 Carrera GTS Porsche he gifted ex-fiancée, Jennifer Lopez for her 50th birthday.

The vehicle, which retails for $146,420, came from Ocean Auto Club. At the time, the dealership even customized Lopez’s gift with a “JLo” license plate and matching car mats.
In Thursday’s post, Rodriguez smiles as he leans against the Porsche, sporting a tan suit and an olive green tie.
“I’m super down to earth,” he captioned the photo.

However, his followers slammed with one saying; “Savage. Posing with the car he bough J.Lo for her bday.”
“Looks like J.Lo left not only you but the red car too,” someone else wrote.
Two years ago, the car was a special gift for Lopez because, as Rodriguez explained in a behind-the-scenes video shared to his YouTube page at the time, she hadn’t “driven in 25 years.”
“What do you get someone who already has everything?” Rodriguez asked in the video. “You have to be creative.”
Lopez gushed over the gift in the video, telling Rodriguez;
I love it. I’ve never had a car before. I love it. I love it Papi. I’m crying. My heart is beating so fast. I haven’t driven in so long, but that’s like a little car I can manage.
However, perhaps that gift should have been a sign of compatibility issues. After all, as he noted just before gifting it to her, “The irony is we’re gonna buy her a car, but she hasn’t driven in 25 years.”
Her initial reaction to seeing the car was, “What the hell?!” But then she quickly warmed to the unusual (for her, someone who is chauffeured everywhere) gift, saying, “I’ve never had a car like this. I’ve never driven a car period!”
She then thanked him for “giving me my independence back.”
The car had license plates that said J.Lo, which presumably are long gone. The interior also had custom “J.Lo” seat covers — again, probably something he’s not driving around with.
Meanwhile, Lopez quietly deleted all her old social media posts with Rodriguez, and has rebounded with her former lover, Ben Affleck.
They officially called off their engagement in April, telling PEOPLE in a statement that they’re “better as friends and look forward to remaining so.” The couple began dating in 2017, and they announced their engagement in March 2019.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this month, Rodriguez said he’s “in a great place” four months after their split, adding that he and his daughters are currently focused on “all the positive” things in life.
Rodriguez added;
I had five years of an incredible life and partnership and also with my daughters, we learned so much.
So I’m in a great place. I’m so grateful for where God and and the light has really put me, and I’m really looking forward. Mostly to see how my girls keep developing.
