DSS Confirms Raid On Sunday Igboho’s House, Begins Manhunt For Him After After ‘Recovering Charms, Arms, Ammunition’Department of State Services (DSS) has confirmed raiding the residence of Yoruba secessionist, Sunday Igboho, adding that it has launched a manhunt for him after he escaped arrest when they invaded his home in Oyo state.

Recall that in the early hours of Thursday, Igboho’s residence located at Soka area of Ibadan was invaded by some gunmen suspected to be security agents.

The house was invaded around 2.am and it reportedly lasted till around 5.am with at least 2 people killed and some other persons missing. 

Hours after the attack, DSS finally confirmed the raid, adding that 11 men and a woman were arrested after the fierce battle.

The Public Relations Officer of the DSS, Dr. Peter Afunanya on Thursday night said the operatives recovered a cache of arms including seven AK-47 rifles and thousands of ammunition from Igboho’s house.

Afunanya said the suspects were taken to Abuja while Igboho escaped.

He also displayed charms, weapons, telephone and passports which he said were recovered from Igboho’s house.

Afunanya stressed that the operatives has launched a manhunt for Igboho, adding that he will be tracked.
