CCTV Shows How Unidentified Woman Started Fire That Razed Ebeano Supermarket In AbujaClosed Circuit Television (CCTV) has shown how an unidentified woman started the fire that gutted Ebeano Supermarket, Lokogoma area of Abuja on Saturday, July 17, 2021.

The woman, dressed in a black T-shirt and jeans, was captured in the CCTV footage setting on fire some goods arranged under cooking gas cylinders on a shelve while pretending to pick up an item. 

After allegedly perpetrating the crime which happened at around 7:00pm, the woman walked briskly away from the scene of the incident.

Her action may have led to the fire that razed the multi-million naira shopping mall all night and into the early hours of Saturday, July 17, and it was learnt that firefighters battled the fire until the next day.

Ibrahim Muhammad, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Federal Capital Territory Fire Service had said that firefighters from several fire service stations in Asokoro, Garki, Games Village and National Judicial Institute in Abuja combated the “massive” fire.

It is yet unknown if the Police have been able to identify the alleged arsonist.
