Court Dismisses Charges Against Four #EndSARS Protesters Arrested In AbujaFour out of six #EndSARS protesters who were arrested and charged with unlawful assembly in November 2020 have been discharged by a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja.

The youths led by publisher of SaharaReporters, Omoyele Sowore gathered at National Assembly gate to continue their protest against police brutality and demand for comprehensive reform in the country’s internal security architecture.

The group had also staged a protest at the police headquarters and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, last Sunday, where they were dispersed by aviation security operatives.

However, the security operatives once again dispersed them by firing tear gas canisters to force them out of the scene, while some of the protesterswere arrested.

The four defendants who were discharged on grounds of lack of diligent prosecution of the case by the police are Olutosin Adeniji, Abdusalam Zubarur, Paul Akinwumi, and Devour Chomo. Two others, Yasidu Bashiru and Kabiru Garzali were absent.
